Albert

Albert is an incredibly sweet horse, something that everyone picks up quickly when meeting him and looking into his kind eyes. He knows cloverleaf barrels well, and has had exposure to straight barrels, poles, speed race, flag race, and even goats. We bought him as a 3-year-old with plans to futurity him, but that had to be set aside when I found out I was pregnant. Due to a combination of having our fifth child, moving multiple times, and his personality, he has been on the backburner and moved along slowly. His strengths are that he is very kind natured, light in the mouth, smooth to ride, agile, gets along great with other horses, and has a lot of speed. His main weakness is that he can fluster easily which has overall made moving him forward a slow go. He has been ridden lots of hours out in the pasture, spent 60 days at a feedlot in Abilene, and had a descent amount of exposure to different rodeo/barrel race venues. He is solid on his slow work on the barrels and ready to be taken to the next level. He would not be best suited for a beginner, but an experienced youth or adult would be able to get along well with him. Shipping can be arranged when contacting Kristen at (361)484-2426.
